It also removes that annoying sidestep that enemies can perform when shot with one of your arrows. Let’s be honest, a guard being able to identify you effortlessly from miles away is not exactly immersive. The distance that enemies can chase you has been reduced, along with their line of sight whenever you commit a crime. The result? I don’t have to worry about chickens reporting my crimes to the guards. But now, this mod removes that feature from the game. Apparently, animals in Skyrim can report crimes, which explains a couple of things in hindsight. It’s one of those things that you never thought you needed until you got it, and now you can’t live without it. However, after playing for a while with this mod, it’s proven to be one of those mods that’s going to remain installed for the rest of my playthroughs. Otherwise the mod scene is probably going to be abysmal.Horrible Andy’s Skyrim Tweaked Effects is unique among the rest of Skyrim’s mods for the PS4 in the sense that it changes certain aspects of the game that most people would not notice at first glance.

So anyway yeah you are probably going to have to flip consoles, or play the game on the open platform. By publicly shaming them, and placing the blame squarely on them. Has a lot to do with Bethesda deciding to do a little scorched earth on them. I mean the only reason the game will be getting what little mod support it is going to get. This probably flows from Japanese culture itself, and to understand it you would probably need to talk to someone from Japan. There doesn't seem to be any appreciation of the concept of fair use, or the idea of the marketplace of ideas.

This has actually been standard practice for them going on decades.įrankly this mindset is not specific to Sony, but systemic as far as Japanese corporate culture is concerned. It may seem new to some, but this kind of policy is effectively baked into Sony. So if you want to mod on consoles you really only have one real choice as far as that is concerned, and I wouldn't expect Sony to change their minds on this. While Sony appears absolutely determined to prevent it at almost any cost. I know that last option makes me shudder as well, but Microsoft has made it perfectly clear that they are entirely fine with modding on their platform.

I would humbly suggest upgrading your rig, or purchasing an Xbox One. Then you are playing on the wrong platform. Frustrating as it may be if you want to play a modded version of the game on consoles. Modding the game on their console can only be done using asset that are already in the game, and that is probably going to require a dedicated creation kit. Meaning as far as I have come to understand it. Sony isn't going to be allowing mods that make use of external assets.
